TrackAbout releases software updates monthly.
Test Environments
Test environments are updated on or about the 5th business day of each month.
Production Environments
Production environments are updated on or about the 15th business day of each month.
Why Monthly?
In February 2016 we changed from a two-week cycle to monthly. This longer development cycle means more testing and QA time for new enhancements and fixes. We believe this results in fewer issues or potential problems with new features
We wait two weeks between the update to the Test Environment and the Production Environment. This allows customers using the test environments two weeks to try out new features before they go live.
Smartphone (Android and iOS)
Smartphone is generally updated monthly.
TAMobile 6 (TAM6)
TAMobile 6 run on the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework platform
Updating to New Versions - By default, TAMobile 6 will not be auto-updated. If there is some pressing need for an update, clients will be notified prior to the release. Otherwise, clients should request an update through TrackAbout Support.
TAMobile 5 (TAM5)
As of September 1, 2017, TrackAbout no longer supports TAMobile 5. TrackAbout charges $250 per support incident for help inquiries related to TAMobile 5.
We will upgrade you to TAMobile 6 at no charge.
We are also offering free trials of the TAMobile iOS/Android app as an alternative to converting to TAMobile6.
