Schedule

As of February 2016, TrackAbout has changed the process for releasing software updates. We are moving from a two week cycle to a monthly release schedule. TrackAbout feels the change to a monthly release schedule will benefit both our product and our clients.

New Release Schedule

  • Test Environments - For clients utilizing test environments, software releases will take place on or about the 5th business day of each month.
  • Production Environment - Software releases will take place on or about the 15th business day of each month.

Benefits of this change

  • A longer development cycle means more testing and QA time for new enhancements and fixes. This means fewer issues and/or potential problems with new features
  • There will be a two week period between the update to our test environment and the update to the production. This means a longer available testing period for clients who use TrackAbout test environments.


Updating to New Versions

Clients using TAMobile 6 will be automatically updated once a month, meaning you will always have the latest and greatest version of TrackAbout’s mobile software to use.

A TrackAbout Support specialist will contact you in the next few weeks prior to the next release to help you prepare for the change in process.

Release Notes

TrackAbout will publish Release Notes once a month via the TrackAbout Blog. If you do not receive February Release notes by the second week of March please contact Support or sign up for our Release Notes distribution list on the TrackAbout Blog.
