How Tos:

Warm Boot

  • Press the Power button
  • Select Reboot from the menu


Cold Boot

Warning: Cold booting any device can erase data and the TrackAbout software. Contact TrackAbout Support before attempting a cold boot.

  • Press the Power button to suspend the handheld
  • Remove the handstrap and the battery pack
  • Press the Reset button in the battery compartment
  • Press power and wait until the handheld reboots

Clean Boot

Warning: A clean boot erases all the memory in the handheld, including all applications and data files, except those in Flash memory or any removable storage. Contact TrackAbout Support before attempting a clean boot.

  • Remove the battery pack from the back of the handheld
  • With a stylus, press the Reset button in the battery cavity
  • Insert the battery back into the handheld and immediately press and hold the Power button and the Volume Down button
  • Continue to hold the Power button and the Volume Down button until you are prompted to release them
  • Press the Volume Up button to start the clean boot
  • Wait for the handheld to load files from its ROM
