Data Recovery
Warning- Reinstalling TAMobile will Overwrite Backup Folder
- If a handheld dies, remove the SD card and recover the data from the card before reinstalling TrackAbout on that handheld.
Data Recovery Using Card Reader
- Insert card into the card reader.
- Use TA Conduit to Sync data.
- Open TA Conduit.
- In the Sync menu, click on Sync a Backup SD Card.
- Select the backup folder that contains the most recent backup files and click OK.
Data Recovery Using Another Handheld
Note: This method is not recommended. Data loss can occur if there is TrackAbout data on the second handheld.
- Insert card into a working handheld and place into a sync cradle.
- Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the handheld files.
- Copy the backup or archive folder to the desktop.
- Use TA Conduit to Sync data.
- Open TA Conduit.
- In the Sync menu, click on Sync a Backup SD Card.
- Select the backup folder that contains the most recent backup files and click OK.
