TrackAbout can create a Truck Manifest. A truck manifest is used for recording what is on a truck, and is commonly used for government compliance record keeping. In the United States this document is most commonly provided upon demand to Department of Transportation (DOT) inspectors.
- The first step is to move assets into a truck location. This is typically done with the Load_truck action on the handheld.
- This manifest is based on the inventory of the truck either as of the currrent time or as of a time in the past.
- Note that this manifest is NOT based on a single Load Truck record or even recent Truck Load records - it is based on the inventory of the truck. The inventory of a truck is comprised of all assets ever loaded onto that truck, that have not been moved from that truck through delivery to a customer, unloading to a branch, or some other action in TrackAbout that sets that assets location to other than the truck (a fill in a branch, for example).
- Truck manifests can be created from the Truck Load/Unload>Create Manifest page on the TrackAbout application website.
