TrackAbout System Requirements

Below are the requirements for TrackAbout Application Web Site, mobile access and handheld syncing.

Computer

• Any computer less than 4 years old, TrackAbout Application Web site runs in an internet browser so it is not computer specific.
  • Windows 7 or above (Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft and TrackAbout)
• For TAMobile6 devices:
  • Handheld device synchonization requires a computer running Microsoft Windows 7 or above
    • There are known issues connecting a TAMobile device with Windows 10 PC using Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC)
    • We have had success connecting with WMDC on a Windows 10 PC using the instructions found [here.]
  • An available USB port (needed for handheld sync cradle)

Internet Browsers

• Internet Explorer 11 or higher
• Mozilla Firefox - "Latest version" is generally assumed as the software auto-updates
• Google Chrome - "Latest version" is generally assumed as the software auto-updates

Handheld Devices

Firewall and proxy Requirements

Application web Site (AWS) and handheld sync

• URL: www.trackabout.com
• Ports 80, 443, and 8000.
  • 80 = HTTP
  • 443 = HTTPS
  • 8000 = Used for syncing in TAM6
