TrackAbout Recommends

  • 4 barcodes on each roll-off container
  • Place them near where a user is likely to be standing when picking up or dropping off.
  • Place them in the same location on every container.
  • Wipe the surface clean before attaching labels to a container

Label Sizes

The labels come in 2 sizes. Both are very sticky and will stand up to outdoor use for many years.

Large labels Small labels
Labels per container 4 4
Cost per container $1.00 $0.34 to $0.40
Cost per roll 100 numbers for $100

625 for $210
125 for $50

Scanning distance (Using an iPhone 7 during the day) 4-5 feet 10 inches
Advantages
  • Can scan from further away
  • More visible from a distance
  • More adhesive to stick to the container
  • Cheaper
  • Rolls are smaller and easier to deal with
  • Barcodes are all in a single row on the role and so it is less likely that someone will accidentally put two different barcodes on the same container.
