Microsoft ActiveSync and WMDC

Overview
In order to sync a handheld device, your Windows PC must be running a piece of software from Microsoft.
The name of the software is different depending on whether you're running Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. On Windows XP, the software you need is called Microsoft ActiveSync. For Windows Vista and Windows 7, the software was renamed Windows Mobile Device Center.

If your computer is running Windows XP
- Download Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5

If your computer is running Windows Vista or Windows 7
First, determine whether your version of Windows Vista or Windows 7 is 32-bit or 64-bit.
- Click Start
- Right-click Computer and then click Properties.
- The version is listed after System type.
