MC3200

This device runs the Windows Embedded Compact 7.0 operating system. To be able to run TrackAbout TAMobile 6 version 6.280 or above, the device needs to be upgraded and patched with a Zebra hotfix and also a registry update needs to be applied.

TrackAbout highly recommends the upgrade to be performed by an IT Specialist. TrackAbout cannot be held responsible for any consequences arising from the use of these instructions.

Steps to upgrade:

Install Hotfix for MC3200 from Zebra

The latest available as off April 2016 is "Hot Fix BSP v60.51.19".

Download

  • You can download the patch from this Wiki using this link File:32N0BenUC615119.zip
  • If you'd rather use the official Zebra site, the the download url is here.
    • You will need an account in the Zebra Portal site to download this file.
    • The site also asks for the Serial Number of the device before making the download available.

Installation

Instructions for the above are available here in the Zebra portal site.

Registry Update

  • Download the registry File:DotNetCF Debugger Fix.reg.doc
  • Edit the file so that the complete file name ends with ".reg" (delete the .doc extension)
  • Copy the DotNetCF_Debugger_Fix.reg file to the device's \Application folder
  • Perform a hard reset
