The MC3200 or MC32N0 and MC9200 or MC92N0 rugged handhelds run the Windows Embedded Compact 7.0 operating system. To be able to run TrackAbout TAMobile 6 version 6.280 or above, these devices need to be upgraded and/or patched with a Zebra hotfix and also a registry update needs to be applied.
The MC3200 requires both the Hotfix and the Registry Update.
The MC9200 requires only the Registry Update.
Please ensure that either devices is on the latest OS or the minimum OS specified on the TrackAbout Certified Devices page.

Install Hotfix - MC3200 from Zebra Only
This is the latest information from Supply Chain as of 19 June 2017:
Make note that there are two different MC32N0 product lines, Standard and Premium:
- Standard
- MC32 Standard products will have a sku that follows this pattern: MC32N0-XXXXCLXXX.
- The MC32 Standard has less memory and cannot run Android.
- Premium
- MC32 Premium products will have a sku that follows this patten: MC32N0-XXXXCHXXX
- The MC32 Premium has more memory and can optionally be changed to an Android OS.
All the Hot Fixes and feature enhancements that were found in Hot_Fix_BSP_v61.51.19 were incorporated into the following formal OS releases. NOTE: Zebra also changed their OS naming convention as well.
- This is the minimum OS release for MC32N0 handhelds running TrackAbout.
- MC3200 Operating System Standard BSP 10.57.04
- MC3200 Operating System Premium BSP 00.57.04
- MC32N0 handhelds on Hot_Fix_BSP_v61.51.19 are still compatible for running TrackAbout.
Go to Zebra's website for the most current release of OS for MC32N0 handhelds and to download the OS.
- To access and download the actual OS require a valid support contract with Zebra and a support portal login.

Registry Update for MC3200 and MC9200
- Download the registry File:DotNetCF Debugger Fix.reg.doc
- Edit the file so that the complete file name ends with ".reg" (delete the .doc extension)
- Copy the DotNetCF_Debugger_Fix.reg file to the device's \Application folder
- Perform a hard reset (Press 1, 9, and Power simultaneously, then release all)
Install TAMobile 6
Install TAMobile 6 version 6.280 or above using this link
- After installation is complete perform a Warm Boot on the device.
- There are two methods for warm boot on this device.
- Hold down the Power button for approximately five seconds. As soon as the device starts to perform a warm boot release the Power button.
- Navigating to the Windows Startup menu, Programs, then selecting 'Warm Boot'
- There are two methods for warm boot on this device.
