=Setup a Customer to be a Customer Portal Account=

==Adding Departments==

For Customer Portal Trackers, departments are the locations that the Customer Portal users can move assets between. If the customer already has child accounts under a parent account, these will become the Customer Portal departments. To add additional departments:

*Click on '''Add Dept''' in the upper right-hand side on the '''Customer Detail View''' page
*Enter the department information as you would for adding a new customer
*In the '''Follow-On ID''', enter the department ID that the customer will use to identify the department
*In the '''Follow-On Name''', enter the department name that the customer will call the department
*Click Save to finish adding the department

==Rugged Device Setup==

If the customer will be using rugged devices to track their assets, you will need to set up the devices for them, as Follow-On users do not have the ability to download the TAMobile 6 software.

*Begin by downloading the TAMobile 6 software from the '''Software Downloads''' page
**This is the same software used on your internal devices
*Follow the installation steps
*When the '''Edit Mobile Unit''' page appears after the device authorization, set '''This mobile unit is used by''' to Customer Users
*Choose the customer that the device belongs to
*Click '''Save''' to finish setting up the device


==Android/iOS Setup==

Customers can set up their own Android or iOS devices by downloading the TrackAbout app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

If the users have been setup with a login and have been granted access to a mobile role for TAMobile Android/iOS, they should be able to use the app immediately.
